The green tower was the deity in the endless mist. The oblivion reality. It was lime, emerald, metal and imperial. The man who stood at its cold and gargantuan iron doors went inside. The entrance hall wore a kilt patterned marble floor and majestic platinum candles lined the halls.
At the end of the one hundred and six foot hallway stood a door. It was ever changing in its color and shape. The beauty of its mysticism was profound in the eyes of the man. The man had black hair and the door was for a moment jet black. It seemed reasonable enough to enter because of their momentary kinship.
As he walked up to the door, reality shifted and he was down an eternal flight of stairs in a basement. He remembered something about a door. That was all. Do not fret on his behalf. Imagine a world without memories. It is utopian. The man would agree if he could hear me.
As the hero navigates the dark basement he sees a girl through a window in the ceiling surrounded by light. He pulls out a lotus flower from his blue silk satchel and is all of the sudden in a long, well lit hallway with the girl. It worked. His plans always work, for he is the hero. They both were standing. Facing each other and remembering who they now were.
The woman and man are on top of a cliff. The roguish and wicked ocean crashes against the rocks. The sky is grey and provides the most revealing glow over the colors in the world. He loved the girl so much. Within a single forever he knew. He had always loved her unbeknownst to himself.
Love has a way of changing the left minded logic. None the less it is necessary. Bit of a paradox isn’t it? But anyways. They gazed piously at each other for an eternity or a minute. Another moment went by and he was away from her. He was back in the green tower. Never had his mission been more important. Mars was in retrospect and lord Sagittarius was all but friendly.
The hero was in the elevator which was cramping and small to say the least. However the smell of honey and milk was quite intoxicating. I apologize on behalf of the hero for making you wait this long for the sense of smell to appear in his reality. He just doesn’t take much time to smell the roses (no pun intended). But then again I don’t have to answer to you. You’re the reader and you depend on me. So deal with it!
The elevator bell rung and the hero was finally at the destiny room. It was a circular room with windows all around. All eighteen oceans were in view. Out of nowhere the malevolent and partially misunderstood chameleon tiger showed herself to the hero. She had taken away her camouflage and returned to her natural assortment of all six color spectrums.
Her bright and neon glow was quite distracting to the hero. It was a good thing the hero had his secret weapon. “Your movements are slow and reminiscent of a bovine. You look old and your claws are pathetic excuses for pocket knives. You cannot perceive as much as I. so what is your worth?” the tiger chameleon immediately began to doubt herself. She shifted to another plane of existence in tears.
Of course the hero’s weapon was so strong, because it was an insult. A sturdy enough insult can ruin anyone’s life. The hero felt bad for using such barbaric tactics. Hold on a minute the hero is about to start thinking to himself I’ll leave until he is done. By the way I apologize for my outburst earlier, we both need each other.
“I must go to the forest of nothingness. It is the only way I can stop lord Sagittarius. Once I reach the mountain of stairways I’ll find a path leading right to it.”
Now that he’s done thinking I can continue the story with my gorgeous voice.
The hero appeared at the foot of the forest. The beginning of nothing. Or perhaps the end of something. It sort of depends on whether you’re coming or going I suppose. What was I talking about… ah yes? He entered the forest.
Amidst the glowing amethyst trees, orange dirt, sparking red stars and white fire that covered anything the man was not in reach of; things got to be a little over sensory for him. As he heard a low ringing noise and the unearthly sound of machines he fell asleep.

A blonde woman looked over a bald mans shoulder at a computer screen with brain wave indicators on it. The gold engraved title plate above the screen read: Project Nostradamus. The security camera showed a man laying in a white bed, sleeping. She left the room and walked to the windowed door. She went inside. The room was almost empty despite a man in a white bed.
“Wake up Diyus!” the woman in a white leather suit yelled in the mans face. Bright lights lit a concrete reflective room that blinded the man. The feel of cold and the scent of lemon disinfectant practically hit the man like kryptonite to Tom Welling. He was obviously disoriented, but conscious. “Ok so I’m going to go through the usual drill with you Diyus. What did you dream about? Who is lord Sagittarius?” the woman was gripping Diyus tightly out from his covers in a bed of all white.
The man sat up straight and looked around him. His senses were replenishing. The sight of the white leathered interrogator disgusted him. But at the very least he remembered his name.
“I am Diyus, and you are the bitch I see every time I fall asleep. You always question me about my life, and that really pisses me off. You’re name is grace. I think that’s ironic because you seem to posses none.” Diyus smiled a wide child like grin right in the face of Grace. Grace clinched her fists and her jaw line followed.
“What happened in your dream?” her voice was shaking with rage.
“Like I said before grace, I am dreaming at this moment. I would be glad to tell you what happened to me in the real world if you would be so kind as to understand a simple concept.” Diyus loved to mock this evil woman from his night terrors. It was the only thing that made going to sleep even slightly worth it.
Grace swallowed her pride as one would swallow a chandelier. “Indulge on what happened to you in the real world.” she sounded like an unoiled machine grinding through words, dismounting with a roll of the eyes and minimal face contact after that.
“Well grace. It started like most days. In the green tower. Um. I finally made it to the room of windows overlooking the eighteen oceans. I defeated the lion lizard. I met the girl of my dreams and we fell in love. I journeyed into the forest of nothing to find the mountain of stairways and defeat lord Sagittarius. Mars is in retrospect by the way. And that’s all.”
“You are so lucky we have specialist who can decode your prophetic babble. Is that all that happened in your dream?” Diyus leaned close to grace after she asked that.
“Listen princess. This world is a dream and I hate it here. I wish I could be without a REM cycle so I couldn’t conjure up you’re demonic face.” he leaned away from her.
“Goodnight my sweet prince!” and grace punched Diyus so hard that he was laid back into his bed with blood fluidly falling from his pulsing nose. Diyus woke up.
The Forest of Nothing
The man was back in the forest. Its breath taking splendor was a delightful sight after such a nightmare. Ghosts were walking all around him. A spirit of an old man looked at the hero’s green eyes, red hair and pale skin. To covet the life of someone else has never paid off in the history of ever. The old man realized this and pointed the hero to the hills just north of the obsidian lakes.
The man smiled at the old spirit and said “thank you kind sir.” the man walked across the dark lakes and began to smell cinnamon and battery acid. The water phoenix had awoken. It busted through the obsidian sending shards flying all around. The hero drew his sword. Unfortunately the sword was not vorpal for the man had yet to pass through the looking glass made by (the late) Lewis carol.
But the man would try opium some other day. The phoenix cawed and rain began to fall. It was an opaque turquoise color. The phoenix must’ve been in its prime. The hero ran against the love draining rain. It was so cold that its effect became metaphysical and the heart of living creatures could be frozen. They say Hitler was rained on for days on his first visit to these lands. The icy bird then saw the sword and landed on the irradiated orange sand. The whole sky turned white. It was quite beautiful really. You should’ve been there. The rain stopped falling. The hero felt a sudden warm and soothing sensation sprinting through his blood.
The phoenix parted its wings and drew back its icy beak. The hero dropped his sword and held out his hands as a sign of truce. A stalemate was at hand and yet a pulsating thick tension of broken pride and awkwardness filled the air. “Listen phoenix or Ariess, whichever name you prefer. We’ve fought before and it came out a tie. Let’s not make history repeat itself. We can work together to defeat lord Sagittarius.” the hero was panting through his speech and was still trying to catch his breath. “Well Diyus or Vign, whichever you prefer; we should go back to my home realm I have something that might help you defeat the lord of mars. And I prefer phoenix.”
The earth opened 19.677 feet wide. An ivory and tapestry wine colored portal opened up. Vign ( the name he preferred) went in. in case you are wondering, yes he did pick up his sword before going in. god forbid he has it in the next scene and I didn’t point that out. If I say something or omit something, it’s for a reason. So stop judging me!
Vign sheathed his sword and looked around the ethereal chaos that was formed into a bright multi colored psychedelic cave. Snow was rising from the floor onto the ceiling at the speed of a snail on a lethargic day.
“Good thing I remembered my sword.”
“Yes it would’ve been a tragedy had you not.” phoenix smiled uneasily and trailed off into thought. She thought bout the fact that Vign had just awoken her. And she almost attacked him. She wasn’t going to make that mistake again.
“imagine if there were people out there right now reading this conversation in a story and were about to get mad that the author failed to mention that I grabbed my sword before coming here.”
"Vign, your imagination is out of control.”
“Yeah I guess your right.” they chortled whole heartedly. As they preceded phoenix realized she was too big in her current form to go any further in the shrinking cave. She transformed into her human self.
“You have a human form?!” Vign looked perplexed.
“No I’m a human with a phoenix form. The fact that my name is phoenix creates kind of a bias I suppose.” when in her original form phoenix had a thick Scottish accent. Vign just stared at her in surprise.
“Should I be naked too so you don’t feel embarrassed?” She made clothes appear made of snow and periwinkle silk and looked away. She signaled him to keep going and they were silent for a short while. They reached the entrance to a wide and amazing coliseum made entirely of steel and iron. the ceiling opened to a red wisp like smoke and fog it seemed endless. There was no sky this deep in the universe.
“This is what I brought you here for Vign. After that moment on the cliff tops I knew you were the one for me and I knew I could show the secret of my people. This is how you will defeat Sagittarius.” phoenix pointed to the object in the center of the arena. She held him close and kissed him. He loved her so much. He wished he had known sooner or again. He pulled away and headed for the object that would defeat the lord. as he reached out his hand, he fell asleep.

“Don’t wake him up yet grace.” a short bald man in a grey lab coat motioned her away from Diyus’s room and in the control center. “Grace. The decoders have discovered something. According to the dreamers REM prophetical pattern he’s about to have a dream that will have the information the general needs to win the war.”
“I should stop hitting him shouldn’t I?” grace looked down guiltily.
“You’ve been hitting him?! Of course you shouldn’t do that. What’s wrong with you?” the man in the lab coat wrinkled his brow in confusion.
“When will the general be here?” the man quickly fumbled around the blinking room full of papers and zoned out interns to find a silver clipboard. He looked up at grace.
“Tomorrow.”
“When will that brat have his special dream?
“tonight.” grace smiled when the man in the lab coat uttered the word she longed to hear. “Well then, I will be extra nice to him to make sure my sweet prince tells me of his special dream. Grace motioned the man away and he awkwardly obliged keeping his eyes earthbound. She looked in the small window of the sealed white room that held Diyus. “I guess it’s time to learn how the green tower works.”
